Who We Are And What To Expect Here
We are Mike and Stacy. We are parents to ten adult children. We are also grandparents.
Canada is where we have always lived and have called home. Both of us were born in Ottawa, it is where we have planted our roots to raise our children, and it’s where we all are still living and enjoying life.
Our Start Online
In 2019, we started our first website, a food blog where we shared our recipes and reviews. The site was Beer, BBQ, Books And Baking. It was a hobby for us to share recipes with family and friends.
In 2023, we started to take things more seriously and narrowed down to only recipes, and that’s when BBQ and Baking was created. We have been growing online since then.
As food bloggers, we have come across a ton of tips and tricks to help with cooking and baking. But we also have many tips and tricks we’ve learned as parents.
So we have decided to branch off into a new adventure with Smoke and Whisk, a name we picked to complement our recipe site, BBQ and Baking.
Here we will share not only tips and tricks we’ve learned together over more than 20 years, but we will also share our reviews for products we use.
What To Expect Here?
We will provide you with our honest reviews, whether good or bad, for the products we use. And we will share our tips and tricks for everyday life.
What Type Of Products/Services Will We Review?
Being a large family, we have tried so many products and services and plan to share our thoughts on the ones that are tried and true, and we have used for years.
Other products will be new items we come across and think are worth sharing.
And we will be honest about whether the products have been given to us or if we are being paid to provide a review. (Even paid reviews will be honest. If we don’t like a product or think it is not worth the hype, we will tell it like it is.)
